Brief summary of rules
Event Rules
(rules are for class identification purpose only)
Street Race Friday Night (show cars only)
3 classes divided by year of manufacture of vehicle; Cars, Trucks, Vans, and motorcycles. 3 Trophies; one for each class will be awarded. All vehicles must be street legal and have DOT approved tires only. All lug nuts must be present. All cars should be in good repair. Seat belts required (except motorcycles). All batteries must be fastened. Radiator overflow container a must, even if a beer can. Helmet required for open roof vehicle/motorcycles.
This race will be a round robin affair. The race will be started by a female contestant for the Best Flag Girl competition. This is an eighth mile heads up competition. Winner of each round will return to the staging lanes. No buy backs.
Saturday Night Gasser Madness Gas Classes
This race is only for Heritage Gas, Nostalgia Gas and the Nostalgia AA/GS cars. Each class will be determined by the weight of the vehicle and the displacement of its engine. Formula listed below. ¼ mile racing on a Sportsman Tree with no buy backs. Each class will be called to a specific lane and will only race same class cars HEADS UP. AA/GS cars will race 1/8 for safety.

This formula is calculated by the owner of the car and we are going by the gentlemen rule. This race is for a trophy only. It is for the enjoyment of the participants and the fans! Racing the way it used to be! This race has no bearing on Sunday’s race day program!

All other classes will race a heads up flash light drags on Saturday night. One winner per class!
Sunday Sunday Sunday Race Day!
Sunday is race day with $1000 total purse for each class (Heritage Gas, not included) There will be 8 classes of racing with individual rules per each class. All class racers must conform to IHRA safety regulations and pass a technical inspection by Dragway 42. No electronics will be allowed in competition. NO use of any type of rev-limiter will be allowed in competition for launch control, too include a two-step. Rev limiters Can be used for engine protection. No Screw type blowers. Vehicles quicker than 9.99 in the ¼ mile must have an engine diaper to compete. No buy backs for any class. Bye runs will be determined by best reaction time from previous run. Each class will be called to a specific lane.
Hot Rod I
Vehicles manufactured from 1900 to 1948. This class will be handicap racing dial in to the nearest 10th on a sportsman tree.
Hot Rod II
Vehicles manufactured from 1949 to 1963. This class will be handicap racing dial in to the nearest 10th on a sportsman tree.
Muscle Car
Vehicles manufactured from 1964 to 1972. This class will be handicap racing dial in to the nearest 10th on a sportsman tree.
Bracket
All vehicles manufactured from 1900-1972. This class is a no-box class, however is exempt from all other event restrictions. Handicap racing dial in to the nearest 100th on a sportsman tree.
Competition Gas
Vehicles manufactured form 1927-1948. Traditional Gasser bodied cars that are low in stance. The rocker panel/lowest part of the vehicle body is below the centerline of the front spindle. Vehicles must be full fendered, have a roof, and hood top. Vehicle cannot be chopped/channeled more than 4 inches total. No motorcycles. This class will be handicap racing dial in to the nearest 10th on a handicap tree.
Nostalgia Gas
Vehicles manufactured from 1927-1967. Traditional Gasser bodied cars that have the nose high stance. The rocker panel/lowest part of the vehicle body is above the centerline of the front spindle. Vehicles must be full fendered, have a roof, and hood top. Vehicle cannot be chopped/channeled more than 4 inches. No Motorcycles. This class will be index racing with index listed below. Winners of each index will then be matched up closest to farthest, etc. The sportsman tree will be utilized for this class.

Supercharged Nostalgia Gas
Vehicles manufactured from 1927-1967. Traditional supercharged gassers. Vehicle should be nostalgic in appearance, and at least be level in stance with nose high preferred. All vehicles must be full fendered, have a roof, and a hood top. Vehicle cannot be chopped/channeled more than 4 inches total. No motorcycles. This class will be racing an 1/8 mile index of 5.6 seconds for safety reasons. The sportsman tree will be utilized for this class.
Open
Any vehicle that has an open center steer configuration; Dragster, Altered, Funny Car. Must have the physical appearance to have been constructed on or before 1972. Handicap racing to the nearest 10th. Sportsman tree.
All classes based on a minimum of 16 car fields.
